A trampoline hoop feature looks similar to regular basketball hoops except that they are mounted on the trampoline itself. They’re also a lot safer than a traditional hoop, designed to flex on contact. They’re also covered with padding and foam for added protection, making them safe for everybody. The backboard is also soft and not easily destructible, allowing the ball to rebound effortlessly.

Why Choose a Trampoline with Basketball Hoop?

While there are many trampolines on the market today, one that features a basketball hoop should be your top choice! A regular trampoline helps with balance, but including a basketball hoop could give additional practice on body coordination. Having to focus on two different things at the same time can be difficult. But jumping and dunking or getting the ball in the hoop can improve a child’s coordination.

If you have a budding basketball player on your hands, this sort of trampoline can be greatly beneficial in improving their game. They’ll be able to train on the trampoline so that they’re masters on the court. But really, a trampoline with a basketball hoop only enhances the fun! Your backyard will be super popular with the neighborhood kids. And like regular trampolines, the accessory is completely safe. All you need to do is make sure you install it properly!

Now that you know trampolines with basketball hoops are the best, we’ve compiled four of the best on the market! But we’ve also made sure to go the extra step of thoroughly by reviewing each of the products so that you can make an informed decision as to which one works best for your family and yard.

When choosing the best trampoline with basketball hoop, our unbiased review will include a number of criteria, including size, features, recommended ages, durability, ease of use, ease of storage, customer review, warranty and customers service, and price range.

Like other trampolines, it’s best that you supervise your child’s play to keep them safe at all times. Due to safety reasons, we’ve only chosen basketball trampolines that include a safety net.

JumpSport Elite Basketball Package Trampoline Review

JumpSport is known for their unmatched quality trampolines and patented safety features. Creating both backyard fun and fitness trampolines, their Elite Basketball offering is a favorite among many. The company has been making trampolines for more than 20 years, so you know that they’re committed to making their products safe. In fact, they were the ones who first designed and patented the trampoline safety enclosure.

With a variety of trampolines to choose from, the JumpSport Elite Basketball Package features a basketball hoop and comes in three sizes – 10’, 12’ and 14’. However, this review is for the 12’ offering.

Their Elite line combines elements of their high-performance AlleyOOP trampolines with their affordable Classic line. The result is a durable, safe and fun trampoline with a basketball hoop feature.

The Elite trampoline features patented spring technology that makes landings much softer, while still providing amazing bounce performance. Kids will love trying to bounce as high as they can while dunking in its cushioned hoop with heavy-duty ProFlex hardware.

Recommended Age And Weight

According to JumpSport, their Elite 12’ has a single-user weight rating up to 235lbs. However, it underwent real-world testing and can hold a combined weight of more than 800 lbs. This means a few 60-lbs kids could have a ball, while an entire family of four could easily jump together on this trampoline.

As far as the recommended age, JumpSport does say that it’s recommended for ages 6 and up. Of course, if you have little ones, always make sure that you’re there supervising them on the trampoline and do not let older kids get too wild with littles around.

Size and Features

This is a 12’ trampoline, so it’s a medium-sized option. You’ll need a medium-to-big backyard to comfortably accommodate it. The 10’ option has been said to be too small on a few reviews, so if you want more than two jumpers at a time, the 12’ should be perfect!

In terms of features, the Elite has a variety of highly desired ones. It comes with a safety enclosure that makes jumping so much safer, as well as tons of padding on the rails and around the trampoline itself.

The basketball hoop is the perfect size and height for play, and the dark colors are easy on the eyes. It also features JumpSport’s patented “Unforgettable” overlapping doorway. It’s an extra safety measure so kids won’t fall off. If they do, the safety net will catch them.

By the looks of it, the Elite trampoline with basketball hoop looks like a great addition to your family’s backyard fun! It’s also pretty high, and there is no trampoline ladder included, so that’s something to consider.

Durability

You’ll want your trampoline to be durable and sturdy because, after all, you’re investing some good money in it! The JumpSport Elite comes with a 15-year warranty frame that features their patent-pending all-steel “DD” Sure Lock system. Basically, this will prevent the frame from breaking down or twisting when your kids jump on it.

It looks sturdy, and the overall trampoline has great reviews on its materials. Many have stated how the construction is strong and built to last. The materials are heavy-duty and durable, so it’ll last for a few years with proper care.

But there have been cases where the safety features break down after a few years of use. Things like the button-tie downs for the padding can shred and the straps that hold the net in place wearing down too soon. They can also potentially snap. But the jump pad and the fame seem to be good, but those already have the longest warranty.

Ease of Use

The trampoline will come to you in a huge box, and you’ll have to set it up. But before you freak out at how hard it’ll be, know that it’ll take anywhere from two to four hours to assemble.

It’s a two-person job, so make sure you have someone to help. All the instructions are included, and there are even video tutorials on how to set it up, which will help even more. It’s fairly easy to assemble, but play close attention to how to install the springs, which can be quite tricky if you don’t understand how to do it. You’ll also need a ladder to get everything just right!

Just read the instructions from start to finish before you actually attempt building it so that you understand what to do.

Customer Review

There are 12 customer reviews on Amazon for this Basketball Hoop Trampoline. Only 8% gave it two and three stars, while 84% gave it five stars.

One reviewer really loved it, stating how her kids (8 and 11) spend hours jumping and shooting hoops. She likes how the construction is strong and that it’s built to withstand the weather. Another user mentioned how well made and easy it is to assemble.

One reviewer who gave it three stars titled it as “less than perfect.” That’s because she realized that hands or toes could potentially get pinched if they slip underneath the edge of the pad. But on the plus side, she mentioned how the materials were heavy duty and durable.

Another reviewer noticed that the safety features broke down less than two years after purchase, and wouldn’t recommend this system to anyone.

It seems that the majority of buyers were happy with the trampoline and would recommend it for backyard use. Just keep an eye out on the safety features! You could check out the other reviews in here. (affiliate link)

Price

The JumpStart Elite 12” Trampoline sells for about $1,500 with tax, making it quite expensive. However, given the quality and all the features of the trampoline, it’s pretty fair.

So if you have the funds for it, you won’t be sorry you bought it! You’ll still have to shell out extra money for the trampoline ladder since it doesn’t come with it.

Warranty and Customer Service

The JumpSport Elite Trampoline comes with a great product warranty. If you have a problem with it, send it back to the seller in its original packaging within 30 days of getting it.

But if you like it, know that the steel frame and enclosure poles each have a 15-year warranty. The springs and jumping mat have a 5-year warranty, while the matt stitching and strapping are 3 years. The enclosure netting is 2 years, with everything else only 1 year.

According to the reviews, it’s easy to get ahold of customer service on the phone.

Skywalker Jump N’ Dunk Trampoline Review

Skywalker Trampolines have been in business since 2004. Their mission is to provide trampolines (and other backyard equipment) that are safe and fun while using the latest in technology.

All their products are tested for safety and durability, meeting (and exceeding) the standards of the American Society of Testing and Materials.

The 15’ trampoline comes with a versatile basketball hoop design that can be mounted either inside the trampoline or outside. The height of the trampoline isn’t as high as the others, easily allowing toddlers to access it. There’s also no need for an additional ladder.

But it does come in different color options to suit your personal preference. You can choose from camo, green, red, blue and purple, allowing you to choose a color your kids will love!

Recommended Age And Weight

The Skywalker Jump N Dunk Trampoline is best for kids that range from 3-to-10 years old. Thanks to its low height, it’s a great option for toddlers and young kids. This adds to the appeal of the trampoline for parents who want something that’ll last a while so that their kids can use for many years to come.

The weight limit for the trampoline is 200 lbs., which is significantly less than the others. This can impact your decision if you weigh more than that yourself and can’t use it or if you have many kids who will exceed that weight.

However, there have been some reviews on Amazon that do mention they’ve exceeded that weight limit, pushing it to around 400 lbs with no problems. It’s a personal choice, though, if you want to exceed the weight limit (just be cautious when you do).

Size And Features

The trampoline is 15’, so it’s a large trampoline. You’ll need a large backyard to house it. But Skywalker Trampolines do offer smaller options if you’d like something to fit a smaller backyard.

Given its large size, multiple children can jump on it quite comfortably since there is plenty of room on the trampoline to play and bounce. Other than the basketball hoop, other features include a patented no-gap enclosure system that makes parents feel safer about their kids jumping. The enclosure will catch them in case they jump too far off the edge thanks to netting that goes all around the trampoline’s bounce area.

There are no dangerous gaps between the jumping surface and the enclosure, leaving no areas exposed. This allows for parents to rest easy knowing the net will prevent any injuries to fingers and toes.

The enclosure will close via dual zippers and a latch so that your kids don’t fall out. You’ll also notice how the poles are a bit angled, which is to prevent your kids from accidentally coming into contact with the safety poles.

You can really tell that the company cares about safety thanks to numerous safety features!

Durability

Once you look at the Skywalker Jump N Dunk after checking out the JumpSport Elite and you might think it looks cheap. But it’s really not!

It’s made using reinforced T-sockets at the leg, and enclosure joint helps the trampoline’s stability and will prevent any structural twisting from occurring. These T-sockets are made using rust-resistant galvanized steel, which extends the life of the trampoline. Adding to its stability are upright foam-padded poles.

The trampoline also comes with 96 tightly coiled springs that are 6.5” long and located on the outside of the net. This only enhances its safety. These springs are also made of steel and have a rust-resistant coating to extend its life. The spring pad is made using UV-resistant materials so it won’t fade.

The hoop itself is easy to set up and attaches to a rope in between two enclosure safety poles. Additional straps keep it secure. Since it’s foam, there’s no injury to your children if they come into contact with it and the rim will breakaway if too much force is applied to it.

But it’s durable and won’t easily come off when your kid dunks hard.

Ease Of Use

When it comes to assembly, many reviews raved at how easy it is to set up. Some took two hours to complete the setup, while other did it under three. Many found it easier than expected. Taking it down for winter will also be easy since many of the frame tubes fit together sans screws, allowing for easy disassembly.

Customer Review

The Skywalker Jump N Dunk Trampoline currently has 1,240 reviews, with an average of 4.2 out of 5 stars. The majority of positive reviews came from those who loved its affordable price. Many also raved about how easy it was to assemble, with one reviewer even going as far as saying it was “so easy it made me feel sexy” since he was able to accomplish it alone.

However, the negative reviews were from those who had the trampoline for quite some time and noted that it didn’t hold up well. There were 91 one-star reviews, with many of them describing how the trampoline broke after a few months. Some even complained about poles breaking or bending and the jumping surface not having enough bounce.

Some systems were shipped with missing parts, and practically all of them mentioned how bad their customer service is. Some negative reviews are from buyers who have had it for a while, making them more convincing.

To get a better sense of the actual users’ experience, you could read over their reviews here.

Price

The Skywalker Jump N Dunk Trampoline retails for under $400. That’s fairly affordable, which was stated in its positive reviews on Amazon.

While the price sounds amazing, but as mentioned previously, there are quite a number of critics about its durability and the quality.

Warranty and Customer Service

The warranty for the trampoline is three years for the frame and one year for all other materials.

There is a mixed opinion about the customer service. Some users stated they were phenomenal and able to resolve their concerns within a reasonable time frame.

On the contrary, there was also a common complaint that the customer service at Skywalker was horrible. According to the negative reviews, it took forever to try and reach customer service, and when you did, they’d send the wrong parts or nothing at all.

Springfree 13” Jumbo Square Trampoline Review

Springfree Trampoline’s motto is “Built for backyard play that lasts.” That should give you some indication of what to expect from them!

Their trampolines have also been independently tested and have been proven to be the “only safe trampoline” on the market. A quick look at their website and you’ll notice how they’re all about safety, pushing it everywhere on their text.

The company was actually found by a dad and professor of mechanical engineering, who wanted to invent a better and safer trampoline for his daughter. It took him 15 years to get it just right.

That alone should make any parent who thinks trampolines are too dangerous to feel better about buying one from Springfree!

Recommended Age And Weight

The recommended age for Springfree’s Jumbo Square Trampoline ranges from 4 years old all the way to 99, making it a trampoline for everyone!

Toddlers can use the trampoline thanks to its numerous safety features and can get on it via the included ladder.

The weight limit for the trampoline is 220 lbs for jumpers, BUT it has 1,100 lbs as its structural limit.

There’s even a video review from a family in Washington that shares how the trampoline saved their car and house. You can clearly see a Nissan SUV on the trampoline, holding the car despite how heavy it is.

So even though it has a specific limit for jumpers, there seems to be a huge margin of safety, making it ideal for large families.

You’ll be able to have all the neighborhood kids come and jump and play bounce basketball in your backyard!

>> You could check out this trampoline here at Amazon

Size And Features

The diameter of the matt is 13’x13’, while the height of the mat above the ground is 3.3’. The FlexiNet above the net is 6’, with the total height 9’3”.

According to Springfree, the jumping surface is equivalent to a 16’ square trampoline with springs. It’s a medium-sized trampoline, but still big enough to have about three jumpers at once. It’ll definitely fit in medium-to-large backyards, while smaller ones might be tight on room. Springfree recommends that you have about a 20’x20’ space, but it might be able to work in smaller areas if need be.

The trampoline features a FlexiNet enclosure that’s made using a soft-touch knit that’s resistant to tearing, fraying or running. They’ve UV tested it so that it exceeds industry standards for standing up to the sun’s UV rays.

But’s it’s the hidden frame that really makes this trampoline so great. The frame of the trampoline is under the jumping surface, so your kids can’t hit it no matter what.

Then there’s the super SoftEdge Mat that absorbs 30 times more impact than regular padding. It’s been tested to withstand the sun’s harsh exposure, and it won’t fade or crack.

The FlexrHoop is built with the same materials as the trampoline, with no hard surfaces.

Durability

The Springfree trampoline is as sturdy and durable as they come! The poles are made of composite fiberglass, while the sturdy frame is hidden right under the jumping surface.

These poles are also double powder coated and galvanized, which means they won’t rust even in the harshest elements.

The SoftEdge mat is said to withstand 5,000 hours of sun exposure and is more shock absorbent than other trampolines. This means you’ll be able to get the same bounce years later as the first day you bought it.

The mat rods are tested to withstand millions of bounce cycles, so you don’t have to worry about them breaking or wearing down. The mat and net rods are flexible and three times stronger than steel! That’s because they’re made using the same material as a Boeing airplane.

One of the questions asked on the Amazon page is if it holds up in winter. Unlike other trampolines, you can leave it out all year round. Just be sure to remove snow and ice as soon so not to overload the trampoline.

Ease of Use

When ordering the trampoline online, it’ll come to you in four boxes. Three of them are said to weight about 100 lbs alone, making them quite bulky. All the tools needed to assemble it are included.

The instructions are clear and come with QR codes that link you to instructional videos that you can watch while assembling, which is actually a great idea!

Disassembly instructions are also included, even though it’s a year-round trampoline. You’ll need at least two people to assemble it, taking you anywhere from three to four hours (maybe more).

Many reviews do describe how intensive the assembly process was, commenting on how it took a while to finish and that it was a bit challenging to get everything built given it has no springs.

Many recommend that you first read the instructions and then watch the videos before you attempt building it to have a better idea of what to do.

Some reviews mention that the hardest part is attaching the mat to the flexible bars around the edge.

Customer Review

The Springfree Trampoline Jumbo Square is rated with 4.2 stars out of 5 stars on Amazon, with a total of 79 reviews. There are 61 positive reviews with a rating of four or more.

For the most part, buyers love this trampoline, raving about how safe it is and how much fun their kids have on it. One parent stated how this trampoline had better bounce than another family member’s Alleyoop trampoline, while another describes how the whole family loves jumping and rolling on the trampoline at once time.

But the majority of the reviews praise the safety features, stating how they would never get a traditional trampoline because of their hazards.

The negative reviews were more about replacement parts not being covered by the warranty. But it seems that they owned the trampoline before Springfree changed their warranty and the company didn’t backdate it for them.

Price

The Springfree trampoline is very expensive, retailing for $2,600. But the price reflects the quality of the product. Many parents realize they’re paying for the added safety features and the piece of mind that their kids will have fun and still be safe at the same time.

Despite its hefty price, many of the reviews still loved it!

Warranty And Customer Service

Springfree offers a 10-year warranty on their trampolines. Unlike other companies that only cover specific parts for specific years, Springfree’s 10-year warranty covers the entire trampoline – from frame to mat, net and more.

You just have to register your trampoline for your warranty. You’ll then have a specific profile that allows for easier support. They’ll also notify you with important notifications if necessary.

The FlexrHoop only has a 1-year warranty, though. You can reach their customer service department by calling the designated number or chatting with a customer service rep on their site.

SONGMICS Outdoor Trampoline For Kids With Basketball Hoop Review

SONGMICS is a European brand that makes a variety of home and garden things. From home accents to storage, pet supplies and more, their Outdoor Trampoline For Kids With Basketball Hoop is highly rated for a reason.

Its affordable price coupled with a variety of enticing features makes it a huge competitor on our trampolines with basketball hoops list. The company was established in Germany in 2012 and is one of the largest sellers on Amazon.

The 15” Trampoline is both TÜV & ASTM, which are international certifications that demonstrate the trampoline is safe and reliable for your kids to jump and play on.

Size And Features

The SONGMICS trampoline is 15’, which is the largest of the three trampolines they offer. It weighs 203lbs and will arrive at your home from Amazon in three packages.

The large trampoline is definitely made for bigger backyards, but if you have a smaller yard, you can get away with their 12’ option.

The trampoline’s color scheme is blue and black, making it pleasing to the eyes. The basketball hoop follows the color combo, and the frame is steel, including the ladder.

Given its large size, it can fit three or more jumpers at a time. And three people or more is totally doable given the maximum weight is 375 lbs. The recommended age for this trampoline is three years and older.

Durability

Made using a variety of high-quality materials, the SONGMICS trampoline is considered very durable. It’s made using aluminum and galvanized steel, along with polyester cloth for the mat, PVC and PU coating to protect it from the sun’s harsh rays.

SONGMICS as a company, in general, has a reputation for having durable and quality products and this trampoline is no different.

Instead of having traditional U-shape legs, this trampoline features W-shaped legs. These legs would have 12 balanced contact points which provide the trampoline with more stability. They are made of galvanized steel and are easy to assemble due to a convenient button that connects the leg’s extensions.

The frame itself is made to have extra stability thanks to its T-shaped connectors. These reinforce the legs to make it sturdier than other trampoline options. The rails also feature EPE foam for extra protection.

Its springs are also galvanized so they won’t rust or corrode easily. They are heavy and feel sturdier than other trampoline springs.

The enclosure net is made using dense mesh and features a double-sided zipper that’s practical and durable.
The safety pad is made using resistant PVC that’s waterproof and UV-resistant. It also features extra foam that covers the springs, adding to its safety features.

The mat itself is anti-UV to ensure that it lasts a long time. The foam basketball hoop is durable, allowing kids to dunk a hard as they’d like without breaking it.

Ease of Use

Many reviews praise how easy it is to assemble! The directions are fairly clear and can be assembled by one person in about four hours or two if more than one person puts it together.

Some noted that the most time-consuming part of the assembly was the net because it had to be woven into the springs. Also, definitely wear the gloves that are included to protect your hands from getting pinched!

Taking it down is just as easy, but, again, the netting will take a bit of time to undo. But one review did mention that the instructions were “terrible,” stating they aren’t thorough enough. Some also said that parts were missing, which made it hard to assemble.

However, they got in touch with customer service and were able to get the missing parts easily.

Customer Reviews

There are only 55 reviews in total for the SONGMICS trampoline, but the majority of them are positive.

People really love this trampoline! They rave about its price, how it’s made with quality and durable materials and that it’s easy to assemble.

Buyers also liked that it had a huge weight limit, with one reviewer mentioning that they bought it even though it didn’t have many reviews and they still liked it.

According to them, it’s “a 5-star trampoline.” In all of the reviews, buyers described how their kids loved it, and in the end, that’s what really counts!

The only one-star review was about how the third box wasn’t shipped with the other two boxes and that the legs didn’t fit into the ring.

Other three-star reviews were about a few parts already breaking after a month, the security net coming loose at the top and that the uprights of the trampoline didn’t match 4 of the 6 holes.

Price

At under $400, the SONGMICS trampoline with basketball hoop is a steal! It’s why many buyers on Amazon decided to pull the trigger and buy it. It looks a lot sturdier and heavy duty than the Skywalker Jump N Dunk Trampoline.

For the price and the size, it’s a good buy for anyone looking to add some fun to their backyard!

Warranty and Customer Service

The warranty on all parts is two years, and customer service is easy to get a hold of. Questions on Amazon were answered, and a buyer mentioned in their review of how getting missing parts was easy to obtain.

Which Trampoline with a Basketball Hoop Would I Choose?

As a mom of three kids, I need things that will keep my kids busy. They’re still little right now (all under five), so I won’t get them a trampoline for at least another year or two.

But when I do, it’ll be a toss up between SONGMICS’ trampoline and the JumpSport Elite. Depending on my finances, I’ll want to get the JumpSport because of the safety features seem great for its price.

But if not, I’ll lean toward the SONGMICS option given its positive reviews, and it’s more affordable. I have a big backyard, so size doesn’t matter, but it would need to fit all three of my kids in the near future, and the SONGMICS has a large weight limit.

>> Check out the latest price of the SONGMICS trampoline

(However, be sure to check with the manufacturer whether it is safe to have multiple kids to play on a trampoline at the same time. In fact, one of our blogger, Jacob Coleman wrote a post regarding some safety rules when playing on a trampoline. You could check it out here.)

Although I also love the Springfree option because was created by a dad whose ultimate goal was safety, but I’m not sure I’d be comfortable spending that much money on it!

Final Thoughts about Trampoline

Backyard trampolines have been popular since they were first invented in the 1930s. Of course, back then, trampolines didn’t have the level of safety that they do now. Accidental injuries have decreased, nets and padding have been added, and trampolines now come in a variety of sizes to fit in any size backyard. But trampolines provide fun for the entire family!

Besides providing countless hours of fun, backyard trampolines offer a variety of benefits. They’re a great way to get kids outside and exercising. All that jumping increases their heart rate and allows them to burn off extra calories each time they play on the trampoline. You can even get on the trampoline yourself if you want some cardio! Plus, it gets them excited about going outside to play, keeping them off electronic devices or video games.

If your child is in sports, a backyard trampoline will also help improve their balance and athleticism. They’ll be able to jump, run, bounce or do tricks on the trampoline. The more they play on the trampoline, the better their balance will be. All this helps with their athleticism, allowing them to be physically better when playing in a number of sports.

Finally, a trampoline helps improve your children’s social skills and brings the family together. Their friends will want to come over and play on the trampoline, plus the entire family will get to spend jumping time together for hours of fun. Bouncing is always a fun time no matter what your children’s ages are. The thrill of bouncing as high as you can and falling is unforgettable! That rush is highly addicting, which is why kids love trampolines.

Add in a basketball hoop feature, and you’ve got the best backyard activity on the planet! A trampoline with this highly desired feature adds an entirely new component to a trampoline’s play. This trampoline accessory is a highly desired feature that’s great for kids who love basketball and or just loves sports. It’s also the perfect way to get your kids to exercise more and provides another element of play when their friends are over (or during family nights).
